We have been catching glimpses of the resident female coyote and her four gangly pups as they travel through the forest. One of the pups is more curious than the others and will lag behind the family to watch us.
The Cariboo Heights Forest is home to an amazing diversity of wildlife, despite being located in the middle of metro Vancouver between highway 1, North Road and Cariboo Road. It’s a key part of the connected wildlife corridors of the Burnaby Central Valley and needs to be protected from development!
