Portia, The Red Tailed Hawk, returns for a second season
Portia is a beautiful female red tailed hawk who returned with her mate to nest in the Cariboo Heights Forest this spring.

Endangered Species Spotted!
In mid-May, Dave and I spotted this beautiful snowshoe hare on the Interurban trail. SFU conservation biologist, John Reynolds, confirmed that this is the washingtonii subspecies of snowshoe hare.
